 What We Do…

Nu-Way Systems gently hand-washes oriental and area rugs using the following steps: 

̃   Inspect rug for damage and areas that will need special attention.

̃      Identify rug fiber.

̃      Select best cleaning method for fiber type and condition.

̃      Pre-vacuum.

̃      Test for colorfastness of rug dyes.

̃      Spot stains and pre-treat rug for cleaning.

̃      Hand-clean using selected cleaning method.

̃      Hand-clean and brush rug fringes.

̃      Inspect cleaning results and re-clean if necessary.

̃      Apply carpet protector if requested.

̃      Prep rug for drying and shrinkage protection.

̃      Speed dry rug.

̃      Inspect cleaning results. Re-clean problem areas as needed.

 What We Don't Do…

̃      Nu-Way Systems does not machine wash area rugs. Machine washing is a “quantity” cleaning method used to wash rugs quickly. Hand washing is a “quality” cleaning method used when rug safety and a thorough cleaning are more important than cleaning speed.

̃      Nu-Way Systems does not over-wet rugs. Over-wetting will result in browning and shrinkage.

̃      Cleaning residue left in rugs causes rapid re-soiling. A Nu-Way Systems cleaned rug is rinsed free of all soil and cleaning residue.
